Emma and Boz Do Thailand

We are going to hand this blog entry over to Emma and Boz, who are some of our best friends from back home, we were very lucky and happy to have them come and see us for 2 weeks in Thailand, expect lots of drunken escapades (most of which wont make entry onto this blog)....

After 10 months of not seeing my bezzie mate Sarah we finally arrived in Bangkok airport complete with our extremely heavy back packs to be met by Miss Hope and Mr Davies.

Our accomodation in Ko Phangnan was lovely.  We stayed in little beach bungalows right on the beach front.  It was very peaceful and idilic.

                                             - This is a picture of the view from our bungalow, pure bliss!!

Our first night we all got a little bit carried away and bled both mini bars dry

                                                            - The boys a little bit worse for wear!!

We had some gorgeous meals out in Ko Phangnan kindly recommended by our host Andy (who was a brummie).

I loved the food in Fishermans(great fish restuarant) and Peppercorn (best steak ever)
                                             - Myself James and Andrew enjoying our meal at Fishermans

-Enjoying our steaks at Peppercorns with the Austrian chef and owner

Andy recommended a boat trip round the island.  The day started off lovely and sunny the boys did a bit of snorkiling and we stopped off at some great beaches

However, the weather took a turn for the worse as we were heading for land.  I must admit as someone who cannot swim more than one length I was a bit worried that we wouldnt make it.  I have never seen rain like it. But our crazy Thai captain got us safely to shore

-The boys on the boat before the storm hit
Atter 5 nights in Ko Phangan we headed to the nearby island of Ko Tao.  This was our favourite island.  Very chilled and unspoilt  We spent 3 nights here.  Here are some pics of  our time on this gorgeous little island
                                                                      -The view from our room
                                                             - The gorgeous sunset in Koh Tao
-Enjoying a drink watching the sun go down
-James getting friendly with the locals (the lady boys loved a bit of the Boz)
                                                           - The crazy fire entertainer on the beach
Next stop was Koh Samui and the resort of Chaweng Beach.  This was our least favourite resort.  A little bit like the Thai equivalant of Magaluf.  The beach was lovely and there were some really smart hotels on the beach front but the main road was tacky and grubby.  Our accomodation was interesting to say the least.  It was run by a rather strange Aussie guy with a drink problem.  My favourite part of our stay here was our elephant safari and the groovy Cocktail bus.
                                                    - The rather Pink cocktail bus - Groovy Man!!

                                                        - Me and James on the elephant safari
 - Chilling with the Sheesha pipe - me and Sarah enjoying cocktails from our ladyboy glasses (we got to take them home as well)
Sadly our holiday in Thailand came to an end far too quickly. We said a tearful goodbye to Sarah and Andrew after almost 2 weeks together.  We had a fantastic time in Thailand.  It was definitely a holiday of a lifetime.

Well thats it from Emma and Boz, thanks sooo much guys for coming over to visit we had a blast!
Our next adventure was to head over to the other side of Thailand to visit Krabi and Phuket and we had also made a last minute decision to head back to Singapore for a music festival and to Penang in Malaysia before hitting Australia. See you all soon Sarah & Andrew xxx
